Firefox Help....

Hi,

I have set Firefox to save my previous session's browsing - so all my open tabs are saved. However, when i re-open my session the pages aren't being reloaded. The cached version is saved. Is there a way to get these pages to refresh when i re-open firefox?

Had the same problem with FF and got that miffed off with it, moved to Opera which works tabbed browsing and saving a treat.

You can just set them all as your homepage, and set it to load on startup.

I want whatever pages i have been browsing to reload on startup....

session manager does what you want.

Fx does it natively - but only if the page has expired in the cache. Changing the cache options (in particular browser.cache.check_doc_frequency) might make it reload all the time, but that could be a PITA. I'm sure there's a better option to change, but I can't remember what the hell it is (and can't find it right now).

Opera doesn't reload the complete saved session either, unless there's a hidden setting I'm missing.

Version 9 of Opera is a lot better at saving the pages you have open in the cache for when you reload the browser.

There is no need to do anything. Just keep the tabs you need open, and it will reload them after closing and re-opening Opera.

If that makes any sense!!

As I said, it doesn't reload (in the sense of if you hit refresh, not opening the tabs with what you had open the last time) the pages.

Im not sure what Tolians getting at, but all i know is that if i close Opera, when i next open it, even across multiple windows, i get all my previously open tabs there. I have to F5 them to update them, but otherwise its pretty bullet proof.

That's what I'm getting at - the OP's looking for them to update without having to go through them and push F5. Opera doesn't do it, and Fx doesn't do it without a config change.
