you using quicktime alternative? if so, re-install it and make sure tick boxes are checked for mozilla plugins. :)

if using the official quicktime (yuck :p), then try re-installing that.

Check your firewall isn't the problem and blocking the media from showing. Happened to me in IE once. Also i have had trouble playing stream content in firefox and so just use IE for streaming content.

When you reinstalled firefox did you do a "proper" reinstall where you deleted all traces of your firefox profile?? Also are you using an official release or a third party build??

You don't have Norton Internet Security running as well do you? I downloaded Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5, at the same time Norton downloaded an update and ever since my Mozilla apps have been going haywire, not seeing my account info or my inbox, resetting themselves to new instals and loosing all my bookmarks etc... It seems that 1.5 is slightly FUBAR as well as NIS. Uninstal NIS and use free ones from the net.
