firefox or ie7

whats the best firefox or ie7 ?
im currrently using ff but im getting random freezeups from time to time
ive not used ie for about a year now.
any thoughts please

Hello mosleypup, the answers your going to get will be very much dependent on which internet browser one prefers. If you are using Windows Vista then Internet Explorer 7 is a good choice because of the ability to run it in a sandbox i.e Protected Mode. That's purely one of the reasons why I use it.

I'd fix that first before comparing them. Try safe mode and/or a new profile.

Yep all personal opinion. I like ie7 and it does seem more stable. However it doesn't support add-ons like firefox so until then I will use Fx.

The only reason I prefer FF3 is because of the Jscript execution times are a lot faster than IE7.

I personally prefer IE7, but it is all about preference. Firefox is nice and fast and on my system IE7 randomly freezes, but I still personally prefer IE7. I just wish I could fix the freezes...(They are only in Vista)

install adblock plus (click this link in firefox) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
once you've restarted to install adblock plus, click here abp://subscribe/?location=http://ea...ement+easylist.txt&title=EasyElement+EasyList

that'll stop any ads showing up, and you'll now have nice clean browsing

If it doesn't have AdBlock...its not worth using!

I tried the new FF the other day and personally I don't see the point of using FF over IE.

People have their preferences of course, but IE is good enough for me atm.

Use Firefox.

If you can't get your problem sorted with a new profile/safe mode then uninstall it & remove the Mozilla from the %appdata%\ folder (Start > Run > %appdata% > OK).

FF is very functional but it is heavier on resources than either opera or the miserable IE6. Bank acounts here still require ie for account access.
