firefox problem

hi.

I've installed hide ip platinum and its changed my connection settings to manual proxy as you would expect. I've uninstalled now but everytime I start firefox it reverts to manual proxy and I have to swap it to direct internet or auto detect. its only a small thing But its bugging me. any ideas how to cure this?
btw I set the missus up as a second user and her settings have not been messed up

It's changed a setting somewhere, though where is a bit of an unknown.

Easiest way's nuke your profile (%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles) and import your bookmarks.

I thought about that, my profile is in a different folder due to 2 users on the computer. I deleted the whole folder but forgot about thunderbird... so I deleted all my mail settings too DOH.
I think ill have a play tomorrow when I'm not so tired

Your Thunderbird profile should've been in a different location :eek:

lol, I reckon I've probably been thick an got the 2 confused

I better go check my firefox profile now, not thunderbird!

hmm, i cant even find the folder!!
i must be tired.... well thats my excuse and im sticking to it... i think ill leave this one till tomorrow incase i do more harm than good
