Firefox Problem?

Hi,

Have been using firefox for many years but over the past week firefox keeps freezing "not responding". Have done a clean install of firefox and installed the latest nightly beta and still have the same problem.

No Add-ons installed
Latest amd drivers.
Hardware acceleration & Flash are disabled and the same problem.

Any other ideas?

Delete the old Firefox Profiles, you can use System Ninja to do that which is free to download and use.

Well looks like my problem is the latest beta for Firefox as just had the same problem on my htpc.

Not sure why but the Firefox betas have been unstable for me for a while now. Often it will fail to respond and I can sometimes get it to still work by closing down the plugin container. I did find that it was Adobe Flash often failing to respond once the plugin container was ended as a task.
I did move over to Chrome, works better across my devices, but I do like FF on my main machine and so I have come away from the beta channel with a hope of improving the stability.
I understand that Flash is frown upon by many but until I can browse and use websites as ~I would like or need to then I have little choice to use it.

thanks, have removed firefox including all profiles from my system but my system now freezes when opening files, programmes ect.

Going to install windows 7 to another SSD to see if I have the same problem if so time to check RAM ect. My only hardware change is graphics card.
