Firefox: run file after downloading?

This is one thing I don't like about Firefox. In IE you can download a file and choose to run it, rather than save it to disk.

I've done a quick google and found OpenDownload but it isn't compatible with the latest version of Firefox? Help me out?

Have a fixed version of it:

Nothing wrong with it to start with, it's just not got Firefox 3.5 listed in the compatibility options. Added that and bumped the version
