Hi All,

Running latest version and never really close the browser down when shutting off the PC - so of course it prompts me next time restore or clear.

I've looked and searched but can't find the setting to turn this off. Is there a way? understand why it's there but don't want it.

mine keeps doing that when i shutdown the PC as usual and turn it back on, i think it does it if you don't close it yourself and let windows close it as it goes to turn off, silly feature yet quite handy sometimes!

Yes that's what I do, I would have thought windows would shut it down cleanly as with other progs, or at least be a button to turn it off and just open my home page next time.

It clearly doesn't (or more to the point, probably doesn't give FF time to write the files it needs to when you close it).

There are options (but not a nice clean button, or the Options dialog would have a million buttons and options, and nothing would be simple) within Firefox to stop it offering to restore your session, but it would be a much better idea to just close Firefox before you shut down.

The Mozillazine KB to the rescue: browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash and browser.sessionstore.enabled.

Thanks tolien and will have a read through the kb's or learn to shutdown correctly the extra 2 sec's won't hurt me I'm sure. :)
