How do Folks. I've been using Firefox for a while now without any problems but just recently I've been experiencing small but annoying problems.

1) When opening the browser window it only opens to half a screen as opposed to a full screen. Now the usual remedy for that is too maximise the screen then exit but that doesn't work, it keeps opening to half a window. Any idea's?

2) I'm missing the toolbar at the top of the screen which has the print, email, copy, paste etc icons on it. Now I went into View, toolbars and customise and added those icons to the toolbar however if I exit Firefox and go back into it later the toolbar is still missing. Any idea's?

TIA.

Generic response, but tried safe mode and/or a new profile?

The right forum might help too (it'll get moved shortly) :p

one can right click on the shortcut, go to properties, then chose under run, "maximised".

also a new profile generally sorts things out, i recetly had to make a new one. this is the only thing i hate about firefox.

Hi folks thanks for the replies so far. I have gone with daven1986 suggestion and that has sorted the first problem out.

When you say create a new profile how do you do this. I have looked in options but can't find anything about creating a new profile.

Thanks again.

Either change your shortcut to add -P at the end and create one that way, or move your existing one out of the way (%APPDATA%/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles in Windows).
PsiFox's suggestion will probably do it, but a new profile has the same effect. Just remember your bookmarks and history are stored away in that profile...
