Ive got my 2500k running at 4.4 stable and my 780ti classy at stock. Thought i'd run a firestrike just to see what I bench at and i only got 8000, I knew that was a little low so I ran it again, got 6575 then again and got 7500. Any idea what my issue could be here?

whats the graphics score? that's what to compare with

your cpu score will be lower than those that have hyperthreading so will affect overall score

your 1333mhz ram speed might also have an affect

Gimme 5 I'll re run, I've forgotten.

But what explains the fluctuation? Yeah I know my cpu will be lower due to only being 4c/4t.

could be worth re running untill you get a considerably lower score again and checking graphics and physics score again this would at least let you know where it's dropping points. And what needs to be looked at.

EDIT : Also how did you test the CPUs stability and how are it's temps under load :)?

Running now I'll let you know how it goes.

I tested with prime. I think my max temp is 72 if I remember correctly.

*basically just want to laugh at you*

Haha thanks, Erm well I may or may not have left V-sync on in the Nvidia control panel. I promise it should have been off, I know I remember turning it off. Should have been paying closer attention to the fps. :D

We have all made mistakes :) glad you got it sorted.

I once spent 3 hours trying to fix a broke graphics card.... That I didn't plug the power cables into XD.. In the rush of excitement to play with the new card.

Had a friend do the exam same thing. He had spent a solid hour trying to fix it, perplexed as to why it wasn't booting he rang me. Ended up going round there half an hour later, walked straight in, plugged the PCI-E cables in and laughed at him. :D

Haha! Now we all have reasons to laugh at one another.

Merry Christmas:D (before you say it's not Christmas the faces have hats so yes it is)

Do we really ALL make it? Or are you just trying to make me feel better? ;)
Yep, and i would hazard a very good guess that those who say they havent are telling porkie pies.:D

My most recent foul up involved plugging the power, reset and other front panel cables into a usb port. Then wondering why the system wouldnt switch on.:o

"Damn broken case buttons :("

We all learn from mistakes no matter how big or small

Yeah those little blocks some motherboards come with are really great for the front headers because it's easy to see what your plugging in and it makes it can only possibly fit in the header slot

EDIT : These things
