Firestrike Standard Bench.

Really exciting times!! How do you think the 6700xt will hold up? 3070 performance give or take 12gb Vram £430?

I don't really know much about the 6700XT. If it is like the 6800 and 6800XT they really seen to fly on things that have very high fps where the PCI-E 4.0 and SAM work well.

PCI-E 4.0 seems to give a nice boost to my 3090s but I think the Navi cards will do the same things even better using SAM as well.

If I run my best 3090 in a 10980XE system using PCI-E 3.0 and my worst 3090 in a 3950X system using PCI-E 4.0 on the Heaven 4 bench the latter scores about 500 points more despite being the poorer silicon.

I am definitely getting a 6900XT but the thing to remember about Navi is they don't do Ray Tracing as well as Ampere but for me that is not a problem.

Going forward I would rather have a 12gb card rather than a 8gb one as the latter is getting very close to being maxed out in games and who knows where we will be in a couple of years, better RT on the 3070 is not much use if it is limited by memory on future games.

Having said all that I think the 3070 and 6700XT will both be good cards but they may need to be used slightly differently using their own appropriate settings.

Maybe, but I've seen people with a slower CPU and frequency get higher results than me. Can't win them all i guess. :p

I have the highest graphics score on the bench with 4 Pascal Titans

https://www.3dmark.com/fs/11546569

Graphics Score 80 603

On the surface it looks impressive but if the cards had not been bottlenecked it would have been closer to 128k, unfortunately I was using PCI-E 3.0 X8 and a really slow CPU.

I think the above graphics score will easily be beat by a couple of 6900 XTs using PCI-E 4.0 and a reasonably clocked CPU.
