Firestrike Standard Bench.

First run with new CPU... http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12766823?

25722

6950X @ 4.2GHz
GTX1080 SLI @ 2000/11200

I expect to improve upon this with a bit more tweaking and I should get a nice jump when I get my new motherboard... there's something not quite right with this X99-S - it consistently gives me lower scores than I should get with various combinations of hardware.

4.4GHz is stable at 1.375v, but it's getting too close to 90C for my liking and the best score I've managed with that so far is 26000, so I think there might be some error correction or throttling going on that I'm not seeing in hwmonitor... Time to try 4.3

Happy with 4.4 @ 1.375 though... Looks like I've got a good chip as I'm seeing reviewers struggling to hit that frequency, let alone with that voltage :)

Can't wait to get this under water with my new mobo... I should crack the 30k barrier :)

Don't hate me.:)

@crinkleshoes keep an eye on your 6950X when the physics test is running as they can throttle a lot if they get a bit warm.

Score 30193

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080(2x) @2050/2778

Intel Core i7-6950X @4.4

Graphics Score 44011

Physics Score 27619

Combined Score 9392

Drivers 368.39

That's me done tweaking for today - 27426

MSI afterburner seems to keep a more stable overclock than EVGA Precision X which helped push the score up a little.

Found it best with CPU @ 4.3 @ 1.35V

No worries re: your score... with the new motherboard I will be able to compete with you. I've known there is something a bit off about this motherboard since I got it... but it's not something they would let me RMA it for as there's no apparent problem... just synthetic results showing a ~10% lower score than I should get.

I get the same with 2 different CPUs, 3 different sets of memory and 4 different sets of GPUs.

Oh well, as soon as my local supplier has the Asus Rampage V Edition 10 in stock, I'll be having it. I would order from OcUK... but it's £100 cheaper here!

Oddly, my combined score is higher than yours!

My motherboard seems limited somewhere in the PCI-Ex pipeline.

Both cards are registering as running at 16x PCI 3.0 though. I've tried various things, sure it's something off with the board.

I'm getting a new motherboard anyway for this system so that this motherboard and 5820k can go in my home server.

I use afterburner too, I tried the latest version of EVGA Precision but it was very buggy.

4.3 @ 1.35 seems good... 4.4 @ 1.375 was stable.

What voltages are you needing?

What cooling? Is this with your AIO cooler or in your full loop system?

I've got a Corsair H110i on this but it's also in a low airflow case which doesn't help.

Looking forward to my new build... just the CPU arrived early :)

6950X @4.4 1.3v

At the moment the CPU has got the full loop to itself (3 x 480mm rads).

Nice :)

I'm planning 2x 480mm in Phanteks Enthoo Primo... I don't think I need any more than that. With better cooling and motherboard, I should be able to lower the volts a bit.

My 6700k & T-X were perfectly happy with 1x280 + 1x360.
