Firewall and Macromedia Flash Software?

Heya

I was just wondering if there are any good firewalls for mac? Is there even a need for one, im always slightly concerned with programs sending information without me knowing and being able to stop it.

I also was creating a website using Macromedia Flash 8, is there an equivalent for macs?? Ive had a hunt round but getting very confused with what is for macs and what isnt and what is still being sold and what isnt due to being old software.

We've got Flash MX here (one version older than 8) and that's both Mac and PC, according to the media packaging anyway!
 
little snitch is good. Flash is also available on both mac and Pc.
