Firewatch PS4

The performance issues are pretty jarring really and are there right from the start. Intermittent stutter and object pop-in as you walk around, then frame drops when looking around.

Actual game seems really good so it is a bit disappointing they've released it in this state.

Completed the game - really enjoyed it overall.

There is definite slow down, didn't notice the pop-up that others have mentioned but it did crash 3 times during play, including right near the end which killed the build up of tension a bit having to close the game and restart. Thankfully, didn't have to do to much retracing of steps.

I definitely recommend it but if you've got other stuff to keep you occupied maybe wait for a patch or two first...

Might get this now even with the slight performance issues, considering its got ps plus discount on it, hopefully by the time I play it there is a patch.

Wish it didin't look so much like a Unity game though, and jankiness is annoying. Still...pushing that to one side, good so far. Intro is a hell of a downer!

Just finished this, absolutely loved it, had no crashes and didn't notice any pop up, the framerate didn't bother me with a game like this and will definitely play through again if they manage to improve the performance.

Loved the voice-acting, artistic style and the first 60-70% of the story but the last third was a bit of a let down.

I still enjoyed it overall although a few side quests (take photos of various animals, plants for example) would really have helped bulk it out. For a game set in an open area, it's very very linear, even the "hidden notes" are shown on the map so there's basically zero exploration.

I decided to get this on the weekend as it was only £13.49. I don't normally buy indie type of games but this one interested me. The voice acting is very amateur imo (especially the lead character) but the game looks nice, the story is going well (just finished day 2) and playing with a headset you can really pickup on the details. No glitches that I've noticed in game but it did crash once when loading.

really?, I found it to be some of the most natural VO work I've heard in any video game.

Yeah I really thought it was pretty average. The lead character bugged me at first as it was so amateur, just felt like they got whoever was willing to do it to do it... I got used to it after a while though and the woman was a much better voice actor.

Finished it last night, I enjoyed playing it, quite relaxing :) but have to question the story though as it was pretty pointless, actually most of the things that you do during the game is pointless.

I enjoyed it overall but the story tailed off for me in the latter stages, I enjoyed the early parts the best but then the days started skipping further ahead in big chunks, I would have preferred it if the story was kept over a short period of time instead of how they made it over many days/months.

I would give it a 6.5/10, think the price is a bit high as well, £9.99 or something would be better.
