why does my fire wire card suddenly show up as an internet/lan connection as its never has before i'm sure

now when i click the connection symbol in the toolbar it shows up as a 400mbps internet connection..

never ever had this before

can i remove it an get it to disappear without disabling it

says its a 1394 Net Adapter ....

If I remember right, and I dont think I'm wrong you can use firewire to network computers.

just odd as i never had it before

usually i click the icon in the toolbar and get the internet ethernet connection

no for the first time this comes up unless i disable it..

can you set a priority or will it all ways show the fastest

just lok at the porperties and either hide the icon or disable and hide the device

XP supported firewire networking out of the box. Obviously popular as it's gone in Vista...
