I don't think its an asian celebration becuase theres no asians around here and theres still loads of fireworks.

I've just been told on another forum it is the Last Night of the Proms. Not sure if it's true or not though.

yeh we ad that day a couple of days ago but it only lasted a min then you got the pleasure of listening to then shouting and swearing etc all night :mad:

I heard a rocket go off like 10 minutes ago, also can hear very deep booming sounds which are a fair distance away from the sounds of it.

Strange there's a lot of them going off all around the UK :confused:
