What the Hell?

It's 4.25pm, it's not even dark yet!

I love autumn and I really enjoy fireworks, but christ - talk about taking the fun out of them. If you ever want to make something that's special, rubbish, just let any moron get their hands on them. :(

Oh well, here's hoping some morons will die off this cold snap.

Miserable git :p

Usually in my area people start letting them off in early October :( Or even worse, let them off during the day - what's the point!

Luckily it hasn't been too bad this year, maybe the teenagers can't afford them...

Maybe people are starting now because they have young kids with early bedtimes?

It's been dead quiet and dry here but we will get central Bagdad later. Hope it doesn’t carry on into and through the weekend.

I'm burning some old kitchen units in the garden just now - I don't have any fireworks but it saves me a journey to the tip and no one is going to complain about the smoke tonight. ;)

Beware of Rockets as one nearly killed me once...

I was watching my friends house afew doors down from me having fireworks in there garden, they were using the normal rockets. After some went off about 5 seconds later the wooden stick part which holds the rocket came down about 100mph and only missed me by inches, it shot down so fast like a arrow into the grass it was so scarey.

Without a dout if that hit me it would have killed me, i guess people think the wood stick parts to the rockets are ment to explode...no they come down like arrows so watch out.

Hahahahaha, no.

The terminal velocity of a simple wooden stick isn't high enough to do more than give you a lump on the noggin. Skulls are made of tough-stuff.

oooooh no! yeah i would think that but it was so fast you couldnt even see it, only hear the quick ZIP it made.. it would have gone right in me

Nar, it wouldn't of. It'd of hit you and bounced off as the weight of one of those sticks combined with mavity against air resistance isn't enough to get any serious momentum.

It happened!!

It was high enough to fall down so fast and dig itself nearly half way into the grass, it was going high speed.
