I need(want ) to update firmware on my ssd (corsair force 3)
It is OS drive, and I think because of that I am unable to update it...it just doesnt work :(

any ideas how to update it without installing OS on a new drive ?
Thanks

I've just updated the firmware on my Crucial M4. Burn ISO to CD reboot from the CD in IDE mode and job done. Not sure if Corsair are as easy but I did it on two OS HDD's no probs.

did you had to switch to IDE as Surveyor said, and is it yours OS drive with system on it ??
if no to IDE, and yes to OS , then why mine doesnt want to update...

went through Corsair forums, and I should be able to update it...
Made a enquiry over-there and maybe someone will be able to help...

Its always set to AHCI, i got told to only switch it to IDE when i have a mechanical drive by a Corsair tech support person.

ok,
ended up reinstalling windows...updated firmware on ssd (for a reason it didnt want to update earlier...)
reset BIOS...reinstall windows(again) and it works :)
