Hi All, I've had a crack at customizing my PSU cables with varying results,
My 8pin to 4+4 CPU cable is knackered and I need a replacement.
But the 24pin main plug is looking good so far,
Moving on to the underside, I notice that some are 2 in to 1? Seeing as I'm only going to have the last portion of the cable visible, is it OK to splice the 2 cables a bit further back and just have one cable and pin at the Mboard end of the cable? it would look neater, but I'm worried about the tolerances of the wires? do they really need to be doubled up for the entire length? or can I join them earlier and have both in a single wire for about 200mm? any thoughts or suggestions
