tuniq tower cooler

Not sure what to do next, every change i'e made i've been running prime and it's yet to go above 62c.

cpu voltage at 1.3

any suggestions, or should I leave be and run prime for 8hrs?

Running now. Temps seem to be holding around 55-58.

What you recommend setting the fsb too next? 450 (with 1.4v)? This won't wreck my ram will it, currently at 1:1 800hz with default timings.

well you have good temps would try 400*9 start with 1.45v and reduce down until prime95 crashes.. and keep a close eye on your temps!

before you do that you are loading with Prime and Small FFTs yes?

Yup, it's been running since the thread started :) (small FFTs).

Read that thread first thing (otherwise wouldn't have had a clue). I think I'll try the 9 multiplier next. Give prime a few more hours.

Does pushing the FSB further increase the strain on the ram?

yes it if goes over its rated speed.. I.e. FSB of 450 runs DDR2 ram at 900mhz which would overstress 6400 RAM for example that is rated @ 800mhz

thanks for that info. I think i've got it at the sweet spot now. Anything above 400x8, would boot into windows but blue screen on prime95.

Bit unsure as to what to loosen them to (haven't really read up on the ram stuff, didn't realise it was closely linked). Any advice would be great..

Can't get it stable any more

Ran prime95 for 5hours and all seemed well. Using the same profile, prime blue screens after 15minutes.

I'm using bios 703. I think i'm going to give another version a go. I'm setting the clock at 1.4v and cpu-z reports it's using around 1.2v, is the vdrop the problem?

loosened my ram timing for 5-5-5-15 to 5-5-5-23 as above.

Cheers Pneumonic. I'll flash the bios at the weekend.

Had my nose broken and reset today, so I'll leave the OC'ing so as to not pass out :)
