Can't find anything in the manual that confirm's that , but if it's true (and I don't doubt you) what a useless feature having onboard VGA & HDMI.
Usually onboard VGA is at best useful for testing purposes.

Clearly shows i5-7x processors don't have the HD technology, only the i5-6x processors
Well I guess the onboard VGA is only a useless feature if you have certain CPU's without the intel hd tech (seems an odd decision to remove that feature) good to know so you don't think no output from onboard VGA is a fault

Do you need to "tell" the mobo that you are not using the onboard VGA/HDMI outputs?
@ms2010 - the i5-6x series of processors have GPUs built into the CPU (not on the same silicon, but on the same die). The i5-7x are superior CPUs but don't have on die GPUs..

Wait, so what does that mean i should do?
I read on another forum about trying to force the ram down on the left side a bit because my motherboard on has clips on the right. I was optimistic but it didn't work. So what's this you're talking about?

are you saying you haven't seated the ram correctly, the clips will lock into the end of the ram sticks.
No, i just checked they were full in again (for the hunderedth time). My motherboard doesn't have 2 clips, one either side of the stick, it has only one - i was just making sure the sides without the clips were down fully aswell, which they are.
Is this i5 760 issue meaning i should do something different? So far the only connecting to my TV i've done is through the connector on my GFX card.

The manual says put the ram in either both black slots or both blue slots, i have them in the black slots. If i push any harder i feel like i'm gonna break something.

Is the ram level? Can you see any of the gold connections?

From another forum, talking about this mobo
Read the manual about video support and memory slots. If you're only using 2 dimms, and a lynnfield cpu, they must go only in 2 specific slots. Plug them in the wrong pair and the system won't see them.

have you tried both sets? All in blue and all in black?
Have you tried just installing 1x DIMM in A1?
You should be able to run the system in a single-channel memory configuration, would have thought it should work with just one stick of ram , if its anything like every other PC i've seen
Will at least try to eliminate having the memory in the wrong slots, as the 1st DIMM has too be installed in A1
(which from the manual is the Blue slot nearest the CPU)

Actually your board is a P7H55 right? This shown memory configurations

I've got them in the blue slots now anyway. I listened out for POST but didn't have the monitor on. POST didn't happen so i came on the forums.
A bit wierd that the manual with the motherboard says black or blue but that says it must go in blue.

Have you tried resetting the cmos?
I had a friend who had this issue on an ASUS and it was the biggest pain inthe world. We had to change a jumper on the mobo to enable the reset cmos function to work - then hit a button to do the reset AND remove the batter overnight.
Only then did the reset actually work and once I had done that we were able to post again.
