Firstly forgive me I think this could be a long post I have quite a few questions before embarking on my first build in about 3-4 weeks.
I am looking to build a new machine for playing games. Principally Wow but also some bf3 and any new releases that take my fancy. I already have a ocz 500w which should be ok. I also have a sata DVD, two 500gig hard drives which should be fine, Mouse, keyboard and monitor (22" Samsung displaying at 1650x1080), speakers and headphones and win 7 home premium. In short I know I will need CPU, ssd, case, mobo, ram and gfx card and possibly a heatsink??
I have about £650 to spend but would prefer not to go to max of budget if not necessary and particularly if overkill for my monitors resolution. I am looking at a build around an intel i5 3570 but am struggling to work out whether I should go for a clockable one or not.
I want to put in a ssd and would ideally like something above 200gig. I originally was looking at an AMD GFX card along the lines of a 2gig 7850 but have started to see more specs including nvidia cards at this price point and I have read that both wow and bf3 are optimised and run better on nvidia.
Any suggestions on a spec please? I know prices will change and offers will come and go but it will help me plan and budget (ie see if I can push the budget with the missus!!!
