Hi guys the other day i thought of a build I could put together and posted it on this forum and I listened to all your advice and decided to add an extra £100 on my £1000 budget to make it better, including monitor peripherals.

And ive been watching a lot of videos about getting into pc gamming and research a lot over the cause of a few months, and what ive been hearing everywhere is cooling and keeping your rig cool. so I added that extra £100 in for cooling because I want to overclock in the near future.

But im abit stuck on how big of a power supply I will need for this rig so can someone help me ?

SPECS:
Corsair Carbide 300R
Windows 8.1
Intel i5 4670k
MSI Z87-G45
MSI R9 270X 4GB
G.SKILL Ripjaws x 2133MHz
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Corsair H80i
Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition x3
Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition x3

Have you already bought all of the above components ?

Thanks for that is 650w enough then ? ive seen very good reviews on 270x and its on sale for £160 :)

Would anyone recommend an Nvidia GPU ? for round about the same price with better performance

If you only plan on running one graphics card then a 550W will be enough. You could save on the cooler by getting the Alpenfohn Matterhorn Pure Edition.
Also the Gigabyte Sniper is a better board than the MSI G45 for the same price.

I would also try for a 280X rather than a 4GB 270X, and a SSD if your budget allows it.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £109.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £59.99
1 x Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler £29.99
Total : £209.57 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Yep 650w is more than enough should allow some nice leeway in future for upgrades.
