A few notes:
Gaming PC only, although not competitive (hence the IPS monitor, although i have also considered the BenQ XL2411T 120/144Mhz).
Will look at OC-ing in future (hence K series CPU and H100i cooler).
Will probably SLI the 780 in future (hence the PSU).

Looking for a check on compatibility, value for money, a good base for future upgrades and to see if there's any random items (wires/cables/fans) that i need but have forgotten to include as this is my first build. Order will go in today if not!

Thanks in advance.

All looks good the only thing jumping out at me is the sound card.. Unless your a music producer you don't need a sound card that good..

Motherboard have great onboard sounds now-a-days, enough for a gamer to be immersed in. Also it may infere with the cards when you come to Xfire.

Thats £100 saved. :)

Other than that, faultless.

Though i'd personally grab the Asus HERO.

As Doomed said: soundcard out, use the savings to get an Asus Hero motherboard in for the MSI G45.

You also might want to some fans to replace the stock ones. Maybe some AF140s for the front, and some SP120s for the h100i - you won't get much more in terms of performance, but they'll be quieter.

You'll get all the relevant cables supplied. Maybe get some red Bitfenix cable extensions for looks.

To save a bit of money you can download a free three-month trial version of Windows 8.1.

Many thanks for the replies.

Point taken reference the soundcard: deleted. I have had a look at the HERO and it seems that the onboard audio is quite well regarded. Looks like a good swap.

I think i'll see what the stock fans are like before i look at replacing them though.

Many thanks.
