Hi, I'm building my first PC soon, and would like a little bit of advice on the products i've chosen and final build procedure.
I've already got
Lian li PC-7 + case
Zalman VF900-CU
DVD Drive
Floppy Drive
So i basically just need the components. Here is what i've chosen

CP-135-IN Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM (CP-135-IN)
£109.95 £109.95

£53.95 £53.95
Subtotal £593.70
VAT £103.90
Total £697.60

I don't have a specific budget, but I'm trying to go for value products. I won't be overclocking much, but i've bought things with overclocking in mind should i wish to in the future, so i spent slightly more on a motherboard. Are there any other cheaper boards that are worth checking out?

I'm kinda confused by Conroe coolers, haven't found any that recieve all around good reviews. Can anyone recomend a good CPU cooler for around £20?

I don't know much about RAM, the Geil 2GB kit is nice and cheap but is it a good set?

Lastly is the OCZ modstream a good PSU, or are there others which are better for a simliar price? Is is worth the extra money to get an Enermax Liberty 500w, and will 500W be enough to power the whole system.

Thanks in advance

It all looks pretty good although I'd change the WD hard drive for a Seagate 7200.10.

As for CPU coolers I'd consider the Zalman CNPS9500-AT Aero Flower as being worth going for, I haven't seen any specific reviews but Zalman usually make very good coolers.

The Geil is a good solid set at a good price.

The OCZ should be fine, I don't know of too many people who have one now but they made decent enough PSUs last time I looked. 500w would be enough for the system, no problem.
