So I will be building it soon, I have thoroughly read through the system build guide (which I will follow as I build), and I am just wondering if there are any mistakes I should watch out for that might not be mentioned, and generally any tips you can recommend to avoid static damage etc, Also if there are any wiring mistakes you can make that could prove fatal to the PC

Thanks!

If the lancool k62 is anything like its lian li brethren, youll barely need a screwdriver, even the motherboard is attached using thumbscrews. The only thing in my lian li attached by standard screws is my fan controller.

U mean rip the bag open and lay it on that or lay it on top of the outside of the bag? Also is it better to put the RAM, GPU CPU etc in while the mobo is here, or when it is in the case?

So pretty much its just preparing the case, get the mobo out, put it on the anti static bag, and put the CPU RAM and CPU Cooler on, then bring it to the case, holding it with both hands at the edges (having sorted all the thumbscrews) then screw it on without overtightening the screws? Then its just cable work, with which my main concern is I wonder if there is any cabling mistake you can make that would break anything =/

Its basically this.

Open case.

Put standoffs and the I/O shield plate in.

Install PSU.

Fit both drives.

Build the motherboard up.

Fit this to case.

Connect the wires from the front panel.

Do the SATA cables and PSU power cables and case fan cables.

Fit graphics card and its power from PSU.

Turn on.

Make sure the connectors of your components are clean :-)

I started building my first PC last week and only yesterday got it completed, from Friday to Tuesday I could not get the graphics card to work.

Turns out there was some dirt on the connectors. D'oh !
