HDD is better, CPU is OEM cheaper and you dont need the heatsink that comes with the retail edition. GPU is cheaper and the higher clocked version at 867mhz (good budget card btw)

I would say the extra £5 for the retail CPU is worth it.

I've never known a CPU to fail in 3 years...unless it's been abused and had silly volts passed through it but yes i take your point fella.
