Hi there, I am 5 lessons into my driving and I am really enjoying it and can't wait too pass :)
I have started saving for a car - and I have £1500 from my parents to use - the rest to come from me. I have quite a good job for a 17 year old still at school so I am sure I will have in the range of 2000 to 2500 (have over 500 ready to spend now - but building it up for starting running costs).
It would be great if you guys could chip in and give some advice on some first cars and expectant prices for a first time buyer.
Keep in mind i will have just passed my test when i'm driving this, and I ain't a speed freak :D

Thanks in advanced

Blair..

Lol yeh if only you could :P
Well I'm learning in a Mini Copper so erm, yeh that aint gonna be happening :D
I'd like something small, deffo a 3 door car.
My mum has a nice clio but she aint getting rid of for another 2 years when she gets my dad's car, and sharing isn't and option we both lead busy lives.

Thats looks quite good! :) thanks.
To be honest I'd really be happy with something that runs at this point, but i need it to last a good wee while until i get out of uni - so 4 years really :)

Whoops, sorry ill be sure to edit that, lets just leave this behind - also my mum will be using my car on the odd occasion too :)

Thanks guys, you have been more than helpful :)
Just off my 7th lesson :D Love driving - hope to get it all done and dusted uner 20 - or my wallet does anyway :P
Zetec is looking better and better - where should be the first place too look for one? Main dealer for trade-ins - private or second hand dealerships.

Thanks again - My mum and dad will of course be helping in this but for me tis a personal thing and something I want to be involved with :)
