You may remember my thread asking what first car to get.

I have pretty much settled on this

The exact trim i would like aswell, even has electric front windows whoahh!

Got a quote for 1100 fully comp, 250 excess. Me as proposer and "Frequent" driver or as "Casual", can't remember! Dad as main driver brings it down! All with Kwikfit.

I've checked it a couple of times over to make sure it's right and not just user error being so low!

Decided to go for this over the Fiesta 1.25 mk4 for comfort, and slightly more powerful engine, and a higher trim level.

What do ya reckon?

Unless your Dad will actually be the main driver, you're breaking the law .

It comes out roughly the same if i put it in his name and me as the added driver £1200 ish but only for TPFT

Thanks everyone, i'll look into the insurance thing

I was kind of asking for opinions on the car more, but I see a motors debate has sprung up in place now

And yeah, i'm 17.

Had a mock test with instructor today after around 15hrs... got a few majors, but it was in the morning and i only woke up when he txted me saying "i'm outside!"

A couple for indicating, and a couple for mirrors, one for something else i can't remember!

Only 7 minors though! Majors seem easier to work on

Ah yes, that was one thing i needed to know.

Head Gasket is a common fault on these I believe, so does anyone know roughly when they will need replacing, as I don't want to pick one up and then find I have to get things fixed straight away!
