my cat isnt a house cat yet by simply tapping/touching her claws and making a noise she learnt to pad* but without it hurting

Find out what the cat likes, then deprive it of it when it does things it shouldn't. In the case of our maine ****, she loves people company, so when she misbehaves, she gets shut in another room. Seems to help a lot.

Hissing at them works quite well as a more immediate solution.

You won't stop it from clawing you. It's either doing it to steady itself or because it's happy and relaxed.

If you're worried about it clawing at your furniture/curtains, which it will do, you can try squirting it with water. Endless fun watching a cat over react to a small spritz of water.

It's just them being friendly

A pair of Draggin Jeans should solve your pain: gf's cat can't claw through them so I don't mind it padding

Yeah, my friend's cat used to do that. It'd sit in the sink with it's head directly under the running water. But most cats freak out when you splash them.
