Why do so many people recommend clipping the cats claws? These are OUTDOOR cats. Indoor cats, yes maybe clip their claws. But you're essentially looking to clip the claws of a cat that climbs outside? Do you not see the downside to that?

....and also needs to use its claws to defend itself from other animals...
