By the sounds of it, You are just measuring temps whilst in the bios? If so then you can disregard them to some extent. In the bios, It isn't truly idle.

Wait until you get into windows, The use Speedfan to monitor temps.
 
It will be higher in the bios, speedstep wont take effect, so you chip will be idling at 3.3ghz and the voltages that come with that. Once your in windows and speedstep takes effect expect you temps to drop by ~10c at idle.

partly agree with this, but personally i prefer either/and realtemp or coretemp.
then download prime95 or intel burn test to test load temps (this is the important bit)
