first custom loop

hmmm very much wanting to do that to my antec 1200 now! I cant afford dual rad now though...and only cooling my CPU for now anyway...but I can always expand i guess...especially as i know whats possible ;) good job.

Yeah I also had just a single 240 RAD(XSPC RS240) for a CPU only loop(at first)
But as I said, Watercooling is a Rabbit Hole :) I am still expanding on my current setup(in the sig)

That's a damned fine w/c setup/job with the routing. You've inspired me to revisit my Antec 900 case and see what I can do in that...

There are 4 metal strips - 2 long and 2 short - (I used 4 L shaped brackets from the local hardware shop and straighten them) connected to the 4 fan fitting holes of the top side of the RAD.
Connected to the RAD using 4 x M4 screws - 5mm(M4 because my RAD used M4 screw but others use M3 as well)
Long strips are on the far side from the inlet & outlet and the short ones are at the near side.
Screws are not fully tightened on the 2 shorter strips, so the strips can be retracted towards the RAD.
There is a ledge between the top cover and the metal part of the case.(You will have to remove the top and front of the case any way)
RAD is inserted with the Long strips fully tightned and long strip side first.
Then using a screw driver from the top fan grill I can extend the shorter strips and tighten the screws.

All 4 strips have double sided tape(stuff that holds RADs) on them so they will stick to the ledge and RAD will not move!

It is easier than it sounds :)

I also had a 240 RAD in the front

Thanks :)
I now have a different setup, but Antec1200 case holds a special place!
Some how I feel much easier working with Antec1200 than my TJ07!
I am going to do some thing like this with my other PC which has an Antec902 case!

But enough about me, OP - wana see pics when you get on with your build!
I specially want to see the temps and X1 UV blue fluid in action!
Good luck

will do...i'll drop a few build photos up. Kit will arrive sometime after the 25th (next week) after stocks up again...stay tuned

Thanks :)

Are those Koolance Quick release couplings I spy either side of the GFX card? Which ones are they, and are they restrictive? I've been after some for ages, bought a set of Phobya ones, but they're useless - WAY too restrictive.

They are Koolance VL4 Quick Disconnects.
VL4N version is better but this 2 sets I got for a bargain price ;)

Easily one of the most important parts of my loop!
It makes it easier removing components (like GPU in my Antec1200 build) with out draining the loop!
In my new build I have them set up so I can remove the whole motherboard tray with the components!

I didn't notice any restrictions with 2 sets of them. But I didn't have a flow meter to measure it properly. However from the reviews at skinneelab they didn't show that much restriction.

I do feel like we are thumping on OP's thread :)
So may I ask if you have questions just PM me or ask in my build log(in my sig), I will only be happy to answer.
