I may be a bit old fashioned but for a first meeting you should think about your personal safety a little. I'd suggest a basic old fashioned conservative drink at a comfortable quiet bar where you can talk and have a nice drink.
Personally I love walking around the London parks though they are better in spring/summer and once again there is that safety thing.
London Zoo is in regent's park. It is interesting, people will be around, there are outdoor bits and indoor bits. Even a pub or two close by.

Ok guys, thought I'd give an update on how it went yesterday. 3 words:
Best. Date. Ever.
We ended up first off going to the V&A museum, then a quick look in the Science Museum (we headed straight for the 'Launchpad' interactive part!) and then headed off for dinner at Fire & Stone (which was very nice).
And he's a lovely, sweet guy who opened every door for me, so no need to beat him up
So yeah, all in all, I'm a very happy lady today!
