hi all i recently bought a benq c1230 camera from ocuk , anyway moments ago i took the batterys out (while it was off) to check what type they were to match it up to the settings inside the camera, but when i put them back in the camera would not go back on , so i tryed to take the batterys out multiple times and reinserting them over and over this did nothing , i then took the usb cable out of the box plugged it into each end of the pc and cam no detection was made.

so one last time i took the batterys out and put them back in and tho and behold it turned on , turned it off and on again to check and took a few pics it worked... so what im asking is what did i do wrong? does the batterys need to be in for a certain amount of time or something before i can turn the camera on? or is my unit dodgy?

any ideas?

You asked a question about a specific product, in the middle of the day, expecting a response in 3 hours?? Might need to wait a little longer for someone who can help.

Ok so i was walking my dog in the park tonight and got the cam out to see what pics i could take and it didn't turn on again, so i gently shacked it abit thinking maybe its something in the inside loose and it turned on after this , but just to test i turned it off and back on and it wouldn't turn on till i gently shook it again.

Is it mabe a loose battery spring or something? does this warrant an RMA or? the cam is about 5-6 days old.
