Hi all,

Been debating for a long time on what spec my first gaming PC should be. Think I'm finally settled on the below, but I'm keen to get people's thoughts. Main reason I went for an AMD GPU was so I could use Freesync on the monitor. I'm not going to be a hardcore PC gamer, but don't want something that is too basic.

Intel Core i5-7600k - £200
Radeon RX 580 GPU - £279
ASUS Prime B250-plus - £70
Corsair DDR4 3000 16gb - £90 (already purchased)
Wireless adapter - £15
Corsair VS 450W PS - £40
Case - £30
Toshiba P300 3TB hard drive - £72
ASUS 24x DVDRW 24d5mt sata - £15
Paste and cooler - £19
Acer XG270HU 27" (Freesync, 1440p and 144Hz) - £379

£1209

Thanks

Ok, so after much deliberation I think I've finally settled on what I'm going to get. It's a lot more than I wanted to spend as I need the monitor as well, but hopefully it'll last me a while

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Processor
ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000 MHz 4 x 4Gb RAM
Radeon RX Vega 56 8Gb GPU
BifFenix Whisper M Series 550W PSU
Toshiba P300 3Tb hard drive
Acer XG270HU monitor (Freesync, 1440p, 144Hz)
BitFenix Neos Black/Blue case

It's about £1,300

I know I'm missing an SSD, but aside from a decrease in load time for the OS, will it give any other performance gain? And is the rest ok?

Thanks

I'm hoping to purchase the sticks through someone on here. I would normally go 2 x 8Gb but for £95 I'm not going to argue. Saves me a bit of cash seeing as though I've gone way over budget.
