First few mails from an interwebz girl

no it really wouldn't. You have low standards of awesome.

I thought they where at speed, for on the spot conversation they are good, All those saying other wise in less than 10 seconds per answer come up with something funnier !

I got in contact with this internet dating girl, within 2 emails she asked the following questions...(and my answers)

What do you do? - IT
Can you cook? - does a microwave count?
do DIY? - i own a screwdriver
Are you any good at gardening? - i can drink beer in a garden
Play an instrument? - nope
Got any pets? - as a kid, we had lots of dogs, but none now
do you have a car? - no, I'm a friend of the earth
So tell me something interesting about you? - I lived on an island in the south pacific for 6 months

her response..."oh dear, it doesn't sound like you tick many boxes in terms of usefulness"

I'm starting to think I'm interviewing for hedge trimming job

Is it just me or are internet chicks more demanding?

Don't worry mate, plenty of fish in the sea and all that. She was only after you for your gardening, DIY and pet-rearing skills anyway. What a user.

Come on guys, you seriusly can't see the wit involved there if he managed that in the flow of conversation it would make him awesome.

Those answers are great. Although it shows that women are lieing when they say "i want a man who can make me laugh":(

If you can come up with better answers on the spot I'd love to hear them :d

Sounds like the OP would have more luck asking Tefal out on a date...

In fairness I think quite a lot of people would, he puts himself about enough on here or to put a positive spin on things "appears very friendly". :p

If I'd got that many questions in an email from a dating site I'm not sure I'd bother continuing the conversation anyway. At the risk of being unnecessarily rude she is internet dating as well, perhaps being too picky is why she is struggling to find her ideal - I'm not saying you shouldn't have standards but prepare to be a bit flexible here.

Problem is those are the style of answers that would have been amusing / appealing to your mate in the pub, rather than someone you are trying to get to sit on your face.

The main line of her profile says she's looking for a guy with a sense of humour (among many other things), I guess that doesn't mean she has to have one herself.

I sent one last email asking to meet up, you can usually tell what a girl is actually like within a few minutes away from the keyboard.

She may have been joking? I know it's a long shot, she is a female (allegedly) after all.

She may have been joking?

Indeed. This is a paraphrased OP with an out-of-context comment. She may well have some capacity for dry wit that the OP himself completely missed, which would actually only serve to strengthen the point regarding lack of SOH ;)

To answer the question, yes, I imagine internet chicks are more demanding, they can afford to be with the legions of geeks after them :)
