first game with ragdoll physics?

The first game to exhibit ragdoll physics was the Jurassic Park licensed game Jurassic Park: Trespasser, which received very polar opinions; most were negative. The game had a large number of bugs but was remembered for being a pioneer in video-game physics engines.

:)
The first one I remember was Hitman: Codename 47

edit: beaten :o :p

well yeah im fairly aware of the technical aspects of it. i just didnt realise that they had been implemented in games for nearly 10 years now.

i really want them to use ragdoll physics, on an NPC which was still alive, like you shoot a leg, they fall to the floor in a ragdoll style, but they arent dead and keep fighting. and i dont mean 'simulated' ragdoll physics. do any games do that? i hear farcry 2 is going to try something similar to this (sorry if ive explained it in a bad way lol)
