I've been wanting a gaming PC for a while now. I've made my mind up about getting one but I'm not sure which one to get. Had a look around here and have decided on these two:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-318-OE&tool=3
Would like this but with windows 7 and not 8, it also has positive reviews.

I also saw this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-347-OE&groupid=43&catid=2475&subcat=2485 which is cheaper but has a six core processor rather than a quad core. However this has no reviews so I can't tell if it'll be good for what I need it for.

Can you also let me know which one of these will be better.

I would like the PC to play games such as Battlefield, GTA on high settings and the upcoming games aswell. Budget is around £1250. Accessories will have their seperate budget.

All opinions are welcome :)

That's very nice :)

Personally I'd use the HIS 7950. It's external exhaust so better suited for Xfire and the MSI 7950s were a bit hit and miss if I recall.

Idleman makes a great point about haswell and the discount. Take your pick. :)

The 3570k is a lot better than the 6300 'six core'.

I like idles spec a lot.

Biggest tip I can offer as a fellow PC gaming noob, is to not buy a pre-built machine like the ones in your links. Build it yourself. I kick myself every time I come on here because within a couple of weeks of buying it and continuing to read up, plus getting inside the case for various reasons, I now realise I could have built a better spec myself for the money, or saved money on what I did get.

You live and learn, but this grates me everyday!

Cheers buddy. :)

Fair point on the MSI but I was under the impression the "NEW REVISION" had fixed the issues.
Since I have had my P280, I have never had a heat issue with my TFII`s, as the case has really good air circulation.

It does say in the description the fan issue is 100% fixed. I just seem to recall a thread with people still complaining about that revised GPU, hence me saying hit and miss. The MSI has a year extra warranty, £10 Cashback and a black PCB (which I do like).......can see why you spec'd it.

I'm so used to spec'ing the HIS I just mentioned it as an alternative. There are some good deals on the Nvidia GPUs now the 770 has landed. Can get a 670 for the price of a 7950 now and cop Metro last light to play but the AMD GPUs do have a nice games bundle too......oh the choices :)

Got the email whilst browsing that site. But alas, I wont be getting Haswell, just don`t see the point. Besides my rig is good enough for me, only upgrade I can foresee will be the Gpu`s and only when they start to struggle with games. So far, that is`nt happening.
