Hi guys, see below for my first OC results for my 2500k, unsure of how decent they are as it's only 4.5ghz.

Also throughout the whole burn test it showed 1.295 vcore for the most of it, then toward the end it was 1.32, then when the test finished and I run nothing it runs at 1.38 (What it's set at in the bios) so why on the burn test was it running 1.295-1.320 then when i'm idle it's lower? Edit looks like I was to late on the print screen to catch the 4.5ghz clock with the vcore showing.

does that mean I can lower the vCore to 1.320?

Thanks. :D

So, I changed the vCore in Bios to 1.320 and it crashed immediately on burn test. Was showing 1.29 on cpuz though, probably a silly question but i'm guessing the vcore on the bios is more correct than the one cpuz shows?

A few points to consider:

1. That voltage is quite high for a 4.5 OC on i5
2. Your temps look right
3. The IBT speed seems very low

Check my standard OC below:

I'm using VCORE voltage offset at -0.04v. In the BIOS the VCORE flicks between 1.284 and 1.296 and in CPU-Z between 1.248 and 1.260 (which is an offset of 0.04). Also, I adjust the turbo multipliers to 45 but leave the CPU multiplier at 33

Cheers, will give them settings a go when i'm back home. :D I just literally changed the multiplier and upped the voltage and it was stable, will look at a few other settings tonight.

I just re-applied the cooler (with arctic silver 5) and now my temps are going over 70 degrees at 4.5ghz. :S Doing my head in now wish I didn't touch it.

EDIT: the temps are very erratic now during a burn test, from 47 upto 75, does thermal paste take a while to burn in to be consistent?

My GFlops are now at 87 or so, think it was due to windows update just installing sp1.

EDIT again: Getting there, 122 GFlops. :D Voltage at 1.34, dropping it 0.01 each time, still stable so far.

Also @ Tuppey, why do your passes only take 66 seconds but mine are taking 145 :/ I am now however getting 123.1694 on the Speed/GFlops. Edit think it's cause I have 8gb or ram and you have 4.
