How did I miss this?!?!
Nice buy Adam! I like, a lot!
Considered it, but it actually doesn't look great without a front plate. I may go for a smaller on it the future, but to be honest I'm not really that bothered and I think this one looks good enough as it is.Be a man and ditch the front plate![]()
its a plate, cant beleive you changed the plate "cos it looked 1995".
whats the most modern up to date style of number plate then?
Why can't you believe it? Most newer cars have the blue GB panel on them now and the old plates looked worn (understandably for a 14 year old bit of plastic). These ones look much nicer. Also don't forget I've removed the surround too, it's not just new plates.
so newer plates have the blue gb badge etc. dont you think itll look out of place that an old car has got the wrong plates on?
Looks like it. Why the![]()

I thought the same?
I'd just washed the car.
Next mods - Induction kit and Bluflame.
Seriously tasty sound.
I just read your first cleaning thread, thought you were a person who sponges and blasts, would have been a shame on a car with such good paintwork.
All in good time my good man, I'm going to Rogue motorsport next week to have a look and listen to some of their cars and see what I want.
I've heard the blueflame and mongoose systems drone a little on the motorway, so I'm going to do my research first.
!
Good choice, Rogue certainly know their stuff!
I found my Blueflame and Decat to be reasonably subtle on the motorway to be fair. Far louder than stock, but then i'd expect it to be!
Magnex exhausts are very quiet, with not too much difference in 'drone' over stock.
I was pleasantly surprised when I found that Rogue were only 10 minutes down the road from me!
Was the blueflame decat comfortable on the motorway? The exhaust I had on my Golf was quite loud but once the music was on there was no problem. Would you say the increase in volume is a small price to pay for the enhanced sound?
