that merc is crap. we had 2 and they were nothing special nor particularly well screwed together.

web sites - autotrader, pistonheads

oh, you've changed the merc link to a saloon from the C180K SC..
my point still stands regarding build quality though :p

what are you looking for, what's your budget?

you've posted a £3,000 ST170 and a £7,000 1.8tdci..

well yes, on the whole, large cars depreciate more than small cars. mainly due to the fact that they cost more

what do you want? a sports car or something practical?
what's your annual mileage?

You say you want something sporty but you post a Diesel Mercedes Barge and and 1.8 Diesel Focus?

Do you want an out and out speed machine or something which will be a comfortable cruiser but has a bit of punch if needs be?

Im 100% serious. Its just I only started looking a few days ago, with no prior knowledge of anything to do with motors. I havent figured exactly what I want, and I don't think it matters. As I just need something to get around in, thats midly pleasant to drive. The mini cooper looks absolutely brilliant in my eyes and from the sounds of it, is quite reliable, reasonable insurance and a good drive.

you actually got a license yet?

if its your first car, you dont need to spend 4k on a car unless money isnt a thing to you, go with something small and cheap......plus i dont think you understand the insurance side of things if u are a new driver

its certainly not cheap!
