Yup Leave the TRAS# as an 8 at first just to check then but it to a 6

TRAS= (RAS to CAS)+(RAS Precharge) thats as tight as it should go.

Dont worry about the noobness I was like that at one point, but I sat down and read up on a lot of the know how. Just search the forum for details or use google and look up "ram timings" There is a perfect guide about them on a DFI site.

Will look it up soon.

on google search "DFI ram timings guide" top link, about half way down that page is the memory guide.

I know you aint got a DFI board but this guide will tell you what you need to know about RAM.

RAS# to CAS# - 3

These are already set to 3 so all I'm lowering is my latency and Tras#

Should I do the latency first, test and then lower the Tras#?

If so how long would you recommend running memtest for?

That is why I said it, it says 3-3-3-8 SPD timings, chrislocalboy never said he has Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200, is that the RAM you have chrislocalboy?
 
No mate, look a couple of posts up I have put in a link to the RAM I have in my machine :)

I have 2Gb of Corsair PC3200 but not the model that was mentioned.

I cant find the link after scanning up and down several times.

Well forget the Cas2 thing. That guide is still useful anyway for details on overclocking A64 machines.
