More flowers, what is it with new SLR users and flowers? C'mon there has to be some more interesting subjects in your area to photograph than flowers! Hop on your push bike and go for a ride with your new camera on your back!

Edit: Just actually read you went to the botanic gardens

some people like flowers, and they're good practice for DoF and general focusing because of their varied surfaces. people can photograph whatever they choose with their cameras. luckily enough.

I wasnt saying they can't photograph flowers. Its just generally when poeple get new cameras flowers always pop up as the first pictures. Just a bit worn in imo.

Theres just so much more to photograph as the poster has obviously shown with the spider pictures! Much more interesting.

i know you weren't saying that, but it isnt your place to criticise the photographer's choice of subject matter. composition, colour, impact - criticise to your heart's content, but if someone wants to shoot flowers, that's their choice.

*hopes you dont click my sig, as that's all that's on there atm*

Amazing shots from the gardens, the exposure e.c.t. is perfect, love 'em. And those spider shots, amazing, rly good. Keep up the good work :)
