First overclock experience

My system consists of
AMD 955 Black Edition 3.2ghz CPU
MSI GTX460 Hawk GPU

Now my question is, overclocking which of these would I see the greater performance increase ? Also, which one would be the easiest, as this is my first time overclocking.

depends what your doing:

if its gaming the probably your graphics card, i have the same one and if you download afterburner or rivatuner its really really easy... just moving sliders.

if its video editing/other general stuff then your CPU would be best, there is a sticky that will guide you through this.

It depends on what you use the computer for. The CPU though will give you a faster rig overall.

Well they are both very easy to overclock. The CPU has an unlocked multiplier so it makes it easier to overclock. And because you have an MSI card, you can download MSI Afterburner to overclock your card from within Windows.
 
Ok guys, thanks for all your responses :)

I use the computer for gaming the most, so Im going to try and overclock the GPU first.
 
Just as an update. So far I have got up to 840mhz / mem 1860 and have temps of 61c

I dont know if this is good or not, but my fps are defo going up , lol
 
I run mine at 850 with +0v and get about 70 degs under furmark

3dmark is good for benching, occt is good for stability teting.

edit: furmark is not good for much except finding the abs max temp that your card will get to
