Hi first post so go easy on me. :D

Looking to build a new PC for the first time. I want it to be somewhat future proof (as much as it can be) and was looking at buying the following items (some stuff I already have I wont be upgrading).

My main concerns are primarily to do with the case/psu. Will the PSU at 430w be able to cope if I throw the following plus some hard drives etc. at it and is the case any good (will therer be enough room in it for the Tuniq Tower etc..

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) £(£115.14)

Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
(£82.24)

OcUK GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
(£192.69)

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler (£35.24)

Antec NSK6500 Super Midi Tower Case (£69.31)

Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.13GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
(£146.86)

Any suggestions/improvements are also welcome.

Thanks
David

Looks good, CPU could be changed to a 6300 if you want to save cash.

If you want a 8800GTS you will have to upgrade to a different PSU, 430w isn't really enough.

Would recommend the 520w Corsair, as it is flavour of the month.

Having nothing add regarding the Tuniq as I've got no experience with it.

Scrap the Geil ram and go for the OCZ which is on offer now.

The PSU it may struggle with the 8800GTS so maybe consider going to a 520W or 620W Corsair? or atleast somthing with a bit more power.

The case might be ok but why not pay an extra 20 quid and go for a p180 or a lian li v1100 case

Is the OCZ memory any good as its only £2 or so cheaper?

Think the Geil has marginally better timings then OCZ, but the performance should be about the same anyway AFIAK.

In regards to future proofing:

He's buying a case with a PSU, he'd just aswell roll on that than have to spend more now. When he upgrades in the future he can just get a new PSU then.

Thanks for the replies.

So, assumming I want to overlock everything and all hardware remains the same for the next year or so, will the 430w psu do for just now i.e will I get the same performance?

Thanks.

And if I opt for a separate case (say the p180) and a Corsair 520w will I need to buy separate fans etc. for overclocking or will the Tuniq tower do?

A tuniq tower will do. but fans help ;)
You can add them on later quite cheaply too.
