Thought I'd see what she could do without raising voltage and made it this far. What's a safe temp for 24/7 use? I know I could push it further, but my main concern is finding the max USUABLE clock that won't reduce life too much. Looks like I got a good chip though
EDIT: Oh yeah, temps in orthos blend test never go over 47 so just IBT I guess. My RAM is running 1:1 at 479FSB (so 958MHz DDR) so is running below it's rated speed. Timings are 5-5-5-15 at 1066MHz so is it worth tightening them up a bit at the lower speed? If so, what to?
I'm gonna try to lower it one more click so I can say I made it to 4.3 on stock volts lol. Will run further stress when it's not stupidly late. Any ideas on the RAM timings? Thanks for the feedback
I do I have 2 x 2Gb Corsair Dominator PC8500, which runs at 1066 5-5-5-15 @2.1V. For some reason my BIOS has it at 5-5-5-18 right now, and rather than jump the multi way up I'd rather just tighten up the timings, but have no idea what the hell I'm doing there. Obviously dropping to 5-5-5-15 will be my first step, but after that? Or I could just leave a good thing as it is
