Hi Guys

Im planning on slowly tidying and modding my case over the next month or so, Nothing major no hammering welding painting etc just some small bits. So i thought ide post a thread to keep you updated of my plans and progress. Today ive done....

What it started as....

It then went to this after removing some crap..

Cable Managment..

Until they invent wireless electricity we will all have this problem.

Im not a big fan of multi coloured wires i like my wires to be black. So today i set about making all my wires black but i havent done my power cables as i have a new PSU on the way with black wires already on it :) here are some pics.....

Right Before, Left after

I also have a acrylic side panel and i have 2 cold cathode lights one above the windows and one below. In the window i have 120mm HIPER fan so i set about making it so i only have to unplug one thing when removing my side panal and that i havent got a mash of wires about more pics......

Also as i have a new CPU cooler on the way i dont think my Corsair RAM cooler would fit anymore so i removed it and installed it to a fetn at the back of my case and it fit perfectly using it as an extra bit of heat exstraction pics.....

Future plans....

To Route my Power cables behind the Mobo meaning a bit of dremmeling and drilling to case. Also want to fit 120mm fan in the top of the case as extra exstraction and fit a 120mm fan in the front of the case as a intake.

nice job with the sata's wish id thought of that !! im going for the ocz moduler power supply hopefully it will tidy my antec 900 up abit :)

Well new power supply arrived!

Wow what can i say it was heavy and there where so many cables and plugs and so much length on the cable. The 24pin MOBO plug had a meter of cable on it i only needed half of that...

Also new cooler artic cooler 64 freezer pro with stock cooler it used to idle at 53 according to speed fan a little lower in bios now running at 47 in speed fan so a 6 degree drop a little less than i wanted was hoping it would drop it to the low 40's mayybe into the 30's

Ive now got myself two new fans two of these... one 1900RPM and one 1600RPM. The 1900 is my new rear exsaust fan and my 1600 will be a front intake but i need to drill the pop rivets out the hard drive rack and then install and bolt it back together......

And tonight i used some cable braid to braid the cable on one of them.....

Im affraid i cant as i can only use the top two slot for the drives as they have special buttons and fold down fronts on those two.

They *should* just be drive covers, that you should be able to remove. Probably held in with a couple of screws either side.

Oh also, I notice you were going to remove the HDD rack. Is that necessary? Can't you just slide the 120mm in behind it, then pop the case front off and attach the screws from there? It looks like it's designed for a 120,

Now ive been thinking (yes it hurt)

The window in this case is huge and shows a lot of the front drives which dont look that good. Now there is a solid black side panel avaliable for this case i was thinking of getting that and cutting my own window in the side on it. As per the paper template. I would mount a fan in the bottom half of the window and leave the top blank so you can see in.....

If you'd prefer a different shaped window that'd be the best way, yes.. though I believe that a side fan is not required or recommended for most cases.
