Juat spray paint it black it would still look a lot better than just plain metal.

True, could be fun doing it yourself and would save a pretty penny

Another alturnative is a mesh layer on the inside of the window to mask the area to the right.
Bit of blow hole trim (or your pattened insulation tape method) to tidy the cut edge.
Should make a nice custum window

Spray cans are ok for interial stuff - but you may find a local spray shop will do it 400% better for the same cost of 2 cans!
Worth asking what colours they are doing in next week - you may get a REALLY good deal.
Power coating will need the paint striped off so would be more work/expense

All that said it is nice to diy the paint - just don't expect a factory mirror finish (or even flat finish)
remember prep is everything in painting, and dust is a pita

Well just had 5 minutes in the garage with the soldering iron and tidyied the wires for my lights on my side panel and my fan first picture is how it was second is what i made and third is as it is now....

Well got a reply from NZXT and they said they still have some stock of the side panels and there 10 dollars

Well spent most of the afternoon working on the pc stripped it down and removed the HD racking and installed the front fan. I drilled a large hole in the mobo tray to route some wires around the back as you can see from the pics......

Started taking stuff out....

Drilled out the pop rivets to the hd rack

Fitted the fan and pop riveted the hd rack back in....

Next i drilled a round hole in the mobo tray to route some wires though. Used some U trim stuff i had in the garage i did sand the hole and it was loverly and smooth but i thought ide just be safe....

Also cut a slot for the wires to run though....

I then built it all back up again trying to make it as tidy as possible.....

can u turn ya HD`s round so the cables an connectors are @ the back ?

if there`s a enough room that is , might make ya case look just that bit neater

Well i recieved another e-mail from NZXT saying if i send my e-mail them my proof of purchase and my shipping address they will send me a blank side panel totally free. Wow thats what i call customer service.
