I put it all together with some guides on the net, BUT when i turn it on its like it starts but doesnt boot up.

I tried reseating the CPU, RAM, disc drive and HDD.

There is a small light on the motherboard that indicates that there is power going through.

It has a VGA and HDMI output so i also tried running it with out a GFX.

Please Help.

Have you gone into the BIOS and made sure that the video signal is being sent out of the graphics card in which ever pcix slot you have it in?

Reset the bios with clear cmos jumper. leave for a few minutes and disconnect power and remove battery.

Have you plugged in the the 4-pin power connecter which is just above and to the left of the CPU?

Yes i have, its a 8pin, there was a small plastic led covering up half of it.

Do you get any beeps at all from the internal speaker? Did you attach the speaker? Are there any lights at all, do fans spin up?

The case doesnt come with a POST beep speaker(motherboard speaker) and im not sure if the motherboard has one build in. And yes the fans do spin up. The HDD L.E.D that goes to the front panel does flash. And the Motherboard has a small green light on it that lights up when there is power in the system.

I cant, because i dont get any signal at all. Nothing comes on the screen.

Reset the bios with clear cmos jumper. leave for a few minutes and disconnect power and remove battery.

I looked in the Manual and the location of the cmos jumper isnt where it says. But i can try to google it to see what it looks like.

Did you put the motherboard standoffs into the case first? Did you check that the standoffs line up to the screw holes on the mobo?

If you cant find the cmos jumper just remove the battery for a minute

Something els court my attention. I dont get power to my USB keyboard. I have a Rubber one like the one the computer guy from Die Hard 4.0 has and it normally works on my other pc on start up because it doesnt require software.
And i did plug the front panel USB into the Motherboard.

Did you connect all the extra case fans on the same line on the PSu as this can cause a power drain if to much is connected to the same line.

If its still not working then your gunna have to go through the process of elimation. Disconnect all the case fans, dvd drive. Remove the graphics card (only if the motherboard has onboard graphics chip which i think it has) and remove the ram but leave one stick plugged in. Disconnect the HDD as well as we just want to see if it boots up to begin with. Check the power leads are connected properly and that the cpu fan is connected properly.

See if it boots up. If it doesnt then its probably a faulty motherboard.

If it does then install one component at a time until it stops working to find out which component is casuing the problem.

i had the same problem with an ASUS P5Q PRO mobo ( old rig) ended up breaking it down an selling the parts apart from the mobo :(
