Hello all, I've decided to make the move to PC gaming and would like some guidance on my first build.
As I'm coming from consoles I'm looking at a small form PC which will be attached to my 1080p TV- using Steam Big Picture. I'm looking for some advice from the OC community regards the components to use, specifically-
1) The case I'm looking at is the Cooler Master Elite 120. Given the dimensions and the fact that this is a first build, am I being overly ambitious here or should even a raw beginner not have too many issues fitting components into a smaller space?
2) What motherboard would people recommend for a case this size?
3) Processor and GPU. This is the element that prompted me to post in the first place. What would people recommend- given that this machine is going to be used purely for TV gaming? I've no previous experience with PC gaming and frankly felt a little 'spoiled' with the graphical performance of an Xbox 360.
What I want is performance that shows a marked, noticeable improvement over the 360- perhaps on the par to the 'next gen' consoles- but am a bit confused as to what Processor / GPU would get me what I'm looking for without 'overkill' (both system wise and £)
Anyway- apologies if this has been a bit of a ramble, but I look forward to any advice you guys are able to put my way!
